  • c'mon people, now, smile on your brother

So once again Elsa has inspired me.  And to give props where props are due, Elsa inspires me a lot.  I have her site linked up a couple times over there in the left tool bar, and if you haven't gone over, please do so.  Even if you don't think you're into astrology, I promise you that you will come away with something good.  I've been reading her insight and stories since 2001 and I am always finding something new and interesting even in the stories I've read a few times.  Do you know how hard it is to keep a Gemini intellectually engaged for any length of time?  Seriously.  She is the real deal and I'm a huge fan.

And that brings me to the point of this post.  To quote her, briefly, from that first link "how about profiling / linking someone you like or appreciate on this Internet thing we’ve got here."  Well I started thinking and it was way too long for a comment so I'll post here, and link it there.  So who inspires me, besides Elsa?

I mentioned him in a protected post, but my tango instructor Vladimir is high on this list.  He's actually someone I know aside from the internet, but he's really just one of the coolest people I've ever met.  He runs a website with resources for dance classes, milongas, social hours, and what not, all revolved around tango, of course.  He's sharp, witty, upbeat, charismatic, and just always seems happy.  I stumbled into his dance class quite by accident via the internet, and I'm so glad I did.

I've got a buddy named Jen who DJ's in Second Life but again, we have some contact outside of it as well.  Go check out her music page.  She has turned me on to so much good music that I can't even begin to tell you.  That alone is a Big Deal (TM) but she's another person who just puts good vibes out there, and I really admire her for that.

Someone I found recently via Twitter who is really making me smile is Gary Vaynerchuk.  I just added the wine library TV badge over in the left toolbar as well.  You gotta love a wine critic who talks about "sniffy sniff" and wines that "bring the thunder" - and if you have the time watch this episode of Wine Library TV.  Again, even if you never drink wine, it's high entertainment and just LOOK at that guy's energy would you?!

OK I don't know him at all, but Torley just rocks my socks.  His tagline is "amplify your awesome" and he does these super cool upbeat tutorial videos for Second Life.  His page is down as I write this, but I'll go back and link up some specifics tomorrow after my meetings and such.  I always appreciate someone who goes out of his or her way to teach others how to do what they know, and Torley is the man for this stuff.  It's obvious he really enjoys what he does too.

I'll leave you with a little YouTube.  If you wanna share a little love, please feel free and we can go smooch on some new people in a very virtual, noncontaminating way.  *laughing*
